It is with great pleasure that present this ediction of JAPA. We have finally achieved the goal of reaching a wider range of contributors, from different countries and different settings. I am pleased with the number of submission for this edition. Although JAPA is still not a peer reviewed journal; I am very hopeful that in near furture we can achieve this goal.

Considering the diversity of articles we have recieved for this ediction, the theme of this edition would rightfully be an international collaboration in promoting educating physicians accross Afghan diaspora on state of the art mental heathcare delivery. We also have new additions to our board of advisers and we getting closer to moving forward to a peer reviewed journal and hopefully be indexed in major heathcare data bases.
